Spin Fest - 14/12/06
When we were offered the chance to get our name all over Spin Fest and skate all day, we asked: Do we get in for free? The day was fun and loud. The cars were 'pimpin' or so we were told, and the bands ranged in there ability to please... It can be said that the range of stalls and attractions was 'broad', with tattooing, fashion, surfing and a visit from Chopper Reed himself.

The day started with a huge disappointment. The ramp that the organizers had hired from Kamakaze Skateboards hadn't even been constructed (a task scheduled for the night before...). So after getting our stall ready, our skaters and everyone else on hand jumped right in and helped them along. The boys found other ways of entertaining them selves in the mean time... does free snow cones, sumo suit battles and trampolines with grind ledges sound like enough entertainment? Come 12:00pm the ramp was up. An hour to late for the scheduled demo. Did that stop us? No, we skated and skated until we realized that it was well above any recommended skating temperature. So after on and off skating the bikers took over. Jack fell and hit his hip, Donny passed out, Louis was off with his girl and Mat was bouncing with Jackson Pilz from Billabong and Plan B.

We kindly had photographer Elli (insert last name here) on hand taking great photos and team manager Simon Gerbic filming the boys. A clip will be available at the bottom of this page to display the events of the day and there will be a Spin Fest Photo Album too.
